The official start of the Festival of Lights season begins at noon with day long activities planned for all ages. December 5 & 6: Natchitoches Christmas Festival
Join us the first weekend in December for the 82nd annual Natchitoches Christmas Festival.
This two-day event is the highlight of the Festival of Lights and features a barge parade and entertainment on Friday. Saturday begins with a 5K run, day long entertainment, two parades, food vendors, arts & crafts and children's activity area.
Saturday evening culminates with a fireworks extravaganza over Cane River Lake followed by the turning on of over 300,000 of light bulbs and river bank set pieces. This event has become a holiday tradition for many years for families and friends. Admission to the festival area is $8 for adults 13 and older and $5 for children ages 6-12. THROUGH DECEMBER: Downtown Giveaway PromotionRegister monthly at participating downtown businesses for a $300 shopping spree. Participants must spend $20 to be eligible for the drawing.
